Our Story
Discovery Church has been part of this community since 1855. Originally known as First Baptist Church, the congregation has faithfully served through generations of change—moving locations, welcoming new leaders, and adapting along the way.
In 2003, the church became Discovery Church. The name reflects something we’ve always believed to be true: faith is a journey. It’s about learning, growing, and continually discovering who Jesus is and how He shapes our lives.
Today, Discovery is a multi-generational and multi-ethnic Church with young families, students, and longtime members worshiping side by side. We’re committed to teaching God’s Word clearly, building meaningful relationships, and serving our community with humility and care.
While methods and seasons change, our foundation remains the same—faithfulness to Scripture and a desire to help people know Jesus and grow in Him.
